Helpful Hints: Post huge fluorescent colored paper signs all around! Post on Nextdoor.com, Pawboost and all Lost and Found Sites in other boroughs and suburbs. Check all vets offices,shelters and rescues throughout. Check Craigslist Lost and Found Pets. Rehoming/Selling Pets etc. sections ! Check all bushes, alley ways, especially in the morning and evening time. Walk around waving something scented of yours and also your pets so he/she will detect it while you call out their name. Anchovies work well for cats to attract them back. Tie your shirt or something scented of yours and your pets where your pet was last seen. Hope this helps! Good luck to you!

Winston is a beautiful gray cat (Russian Blue) -- I'm sorry he's lost. You say he's declawed -- does that mean Winston is an escaped indoor cat or is he allowed outside? His familiarity with the environment will dictate how to find him. Escaped indoor cats usually hide close by but are too frightened to return or respond when called; while a cat that knows his way around may have become stuck somewhere and needs help getting home. I have recovered many lost cats and assisted others so if you tell me about Winston I can provide complete instructions that may help. Please understand an escaped cat may emerge when it's dark and quiet to sneak back inside — if you do just the right things. This usually happens within the first few nights so until I hear back from you please implement this strategy if Winston got out accidentally: tonight put something small but comforting and familiar outside (blanket or worn teeshirt laid flat on the doorstep — not a bed, trap, or anything conuous) and tempting food at his point of escape, then watch from inside (DO NOT GO BACK OUTSIDE AFTER DARK!) and if you see Winston approach be careful not to startle him. Slowly and quietly provide a clear path inside and he may put an end to the crisis himself. (You may occasionally call for him overnight, but do so softly and from the doorway -- going back outside could scare him away. If you can't wait up set an alarm and watch again just before sunrise -- it's a popular time.) And although some will suggest putting out kitty's litter box, experts say DON’T DO IT. I've never used one in all the times I've been successful recovering a lost cat. If you haven't already, also post on Lost and Found Pets of Central Florida, post flyers asap for people who don't use social media, and PLEASE watch the YouTube video, "How to Find a Lost Cat." It gives excellent advice, and the sooner you use the tips, the more likely you will find your kitty. If he's chipped, make sure the information is up-to-date and registered. Don't give up hope. Many cats are found weeks or even months after they go missing. I hope you're reunited with Winston very soon. I'll share your post on NextDoor.

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon
