Thank you for caring enough to help this cat. Sharing w prayers. He may be lost. Hoping he was not dumped. He looks cared for and fairly healthy. Can you tell if he is neutered or not? If you can get him to a vet, most will scan for a microchip free of charge. Ask them to scan tge whole body, because sometime the chips move around.

Safer there than a shelter. Unless you're going to keep it i would let it be. Shelters and rescues are full
