Maria Fernanda Leal That’s because — by law — all strays found within Contra Costa County MUST be taken to CCAS (the local shelter); that’s exactly where the dog’s humans would go to search for her! Other shelters, rescues, and adoption facilities cannot accept a found stray. You need to take her to CCAS in the morning.
