Message from Owner

Hi. I just want to get any information I can about a sighting of my girl. She doesn’t meow. She’s very timid and will most likely hiss at strangers but it’s only cause she’s scared. She actually hates the outside. But she will answer with silent meows to her names (Bebe, Misty Day, Memow, Chirp Chirp) $100 reward for her being found.

Call softly late night early morning when it quite out .. For indoor cats make sure they are not hiding somewhere in the house .. check the bat .. the dryer or washer ..under or in a cabinet in a closet behind .. under or in a couch or in or behind the frig. dishwasher ..stove drawer .. under the bed ..dresser drawers .. attic any where he may have been shut up in ... if they got out if there is any way you could leave your door garage door or window slightly ajar if possible they know where they got out .. cats will hide during the day and are more active late evening near dark to early morning , daybreak ... have a spot light to shine to see eyes in the dark .. they are usually close by and will often come back to the door .. or hide under bushes or decks to feel safe ! Also check crawl spaces under houses , garages, sheds of neighbors nearby ... check culvert pipes .. storm drains .. up trees .. and under car hoods with colder weather and tires also ...this can happen and they could be miles from home . Cats in a new home need at least 30 days to adjust to a new area and may and will travel to get back to their old home .. A set trap may be needed and monitored at all times! Trail cam help to monitor the areas! Post to Nextdoor ... Check with area Shelters, Animal Control, and Vets offices also put flyers ... Am sure you have tried most all of these! Don't give up!!

I am not an expert, but after ours went briefly missing I have a few tips to share. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Look in storm drains. Bend down and look, dont assume they can hear you calling for them. Even if you are next to it calling out, they may not hear. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Walk the surrounding areas during quite times of the day, especially in late at night and early mornings. Take treats to shake or cans of food to tap. Cats are most likely to be active and venturing out of hiding during those times. Cats are naturally more active during dusk and dawn, and may be less likely to be seen during the day. Additionally, many cats will attempt to return home within the first week, often in the middle of the night. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Don't put out their litter, but do put out a load of your laundry. Your baby knows your scent. Litter might attract territorial aggressive strays or ferals that might fight or chase away your baby. They won't care about your laundry though. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Tell your neighbors. Ask the delivery people, garbage & recycling people to keep an eye out. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Notify the microchip company and make sure they are still in their system πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Use free online sources like Canva to make flyers to put up. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Contact the local shelters to alert them. They will check the pets that came in and will be on the look out for yours when new ones come in. They also have resources/suggestions, and can loan you traps. **if you use a trap, check it often as raccoons will injure trapped cats. Do not leave it alone over night. ⚠️ Set your alarm to wake up to check it πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Contact the vets in the surrounding area. Someone might take your pet in to see if they have a chip. Leave your info with them just in case someone does. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈReach out to local rescues to alert them. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Register them on websites like Petco Lost Love and PawBoost. One will create a flyer for you to print out and both can be used to share on social media. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Check out websites like 24PetConnection , nextdoor neighbors, and the shelters periodically to see if they have been listed as found. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Don't give up.
