A few helpful tips: Start searching ASAP!! Need to start knocking door to door in area lost. Post paper flyers everywhere right away. When looking in neighborhood walk instead of drive it helps leave familiar scents. Look in hiding places, such as under bushes in window wells etc. put owners dirty cloths and blankets outside with treats and water. The familiar scent can be smelled for miles. It can help find the way home. Also check shelters daily. The chips often fail and shelters only hold animals 5 days before putting up for adoption. Also post on next door app and the many lost dog sites in your area/state. Walk your neighborhood in increasingly large circles around your home. Your footsteps will give your puppy a scent trail home. Repeat! Give your mail carrier a photo, description and information so he can keep an eye out for him. Also take same to the local Post Office. Same thing for your newspaper person. It might help if you can find a dog tracker. Your local law enforcement department may know of one or may be able to help you. Also, leave flyers with any gated community guards. Also post them and all your local veterinarians offices. A dog tracker may be the fastest way to find Ajax.

Suffolk VA Lost & Found Pets , Lost & Found Pets - Hampton Roads, VA , nextdoor.com too. Fole lot report with Animal control. Put food out , bedding , things that smell like home. Check with neighbors. If spotted , may be able to contact someone to set a trap.
