Had her since 2020 she's shy and scared of the outside, not used to going out but loves grass, last night February 5th she went out and I didn't notice she stayed outside and forgot and unfortunately closed the door throughout the night until I noticed her absence in the day next day, if anyone sees her or has found her please contact my email or Instagram @yael_2007_santos

Most indoor/outdoor cats will stay very close to home, but they will go into hiding because they go into survival mode, especially during the day. If it’s at all possible for you to put some recently worn clothing, bedding, a cat tree, if your cat has one near a open door window or garage where the cat will have access to return home, they usually will do it between midnight and 3 AM in the morning. Do not put a litter box out because that will attract other predators such as coyotes, raccoons, skunks, etc. At night time, you can also take a flashlight looking under cars in trees and bushes Taking with you a bag of treats if your cat is treat motivated, calling its name softly staying low to the ground,( if you don’t hear you’re kitty meowing even if they recognize your voice it’s because they don’t want to give away they’re hiding spot )shaking the bag and using the flashlight to possibly light up your cats eyes. Sometimes they can stay in hiding for days so don’t give up. Hope these tips help and that you’re beautiful. Cat returns home safely and soon🙏🐈‍⬛❤️ don’t give up sometimes they can stay in hiding for over a week until they get really hungry, especially when a lot of commotion is going on during the daytime. also if there’s been any recent rain your kitty may stay in hiding even longer so like I said, just don’t give up. It just may take a while, it can even take a few weeks.

Ask neighbors to check their sheds, garages, and bats, they get trapped in them sometimes, ask to look in their yards, too . Ask neighbors if they can look at their surveillance camera's video for your cat. If you live in an apartment complex, look on the rooftop, ask neighbors if they've seen the cat ,give flyers to neighbors postal workers, and delivery people

Put the cat's towels outside on a hanger,on the porch, or on a windowsill, put its owner's worn clothes outside on a clothing line, or a hanger , the scent will travel and help guide the cat back home hanger

Go out tonight with a flashlight and a bag of cat treats, Calmly, calm your cat's name, with light, look under things, under vehicles,in the wheel wells,in the undercarriage, hit the hoods, knock on bumpers, they crawl in spaces in the vehicle for warmth and safety, keep calling kitty, look under stairs, under porches and decks, in crawl spaces, in and around bushes and shrubbery, up trees,on fences , at their base, in between and behind buildings, shine the light on rooftops, on upper level decks, on windowsills,on step outs, fire escapes, near garbage bins, in all these places, use the light to help you expose the eye shine,or reflection of the cat's eyes. Calmly call the cat's name, then shake the treat bag. Do these actions throughout the neighborhood where kitty is lost late night to right before dawn.

Please read till the end..Walk around calling your cat as you always do. Look under bushes and in hiding places. Look at dawn and dusk with a flashlight to catch the glare of your cat's eyes. Leave garage door and lanai partially open if possible. Your cat will try to get back inside ..most likely at night. Use a trap...The only way to find his way home.or to the trap is by smell. Use some of your used clothes, put them outside and around the trap. A friend of mine used her shirt and dragged it through the neighborhood. Her cat found the smell and followed it home. It is all about the smell. You can also cut a shirt of yours into small small pieces and leave a scent trail back to the trap. I read a few days ago that a lady put out a trace with the old litter throughout the neighborhood. It worked. Her cat came home! Use the litter to lead your cat to the trap. Also try to distribute flyers throughout that neighborhood...as many as you can ( 3 miles radius at least). Check shelters in person...don't just call. Put battery operated trail cameras or motion cameras (Amazon for $25) outside. Your cat might show up in the middle of the night. When you know the time you can wait for for your cat and slow blink to make contact. NEVER GIVE UP! I read once that you can put a chair outside and cover it up with a blanket and the cat can jump up and hide under the blanket and feels safe. They said you should put one of your shirts under the blanket and food and water next to the chair. It might be worth a try to put up a chair

TIPS TO HELP FIND LOST PET:✅Place his/her bedding, your shoes, a piece of your unwashed clothing (such as a sweatshirt, blanket, pillowcases) and food/water outside *if there is coyotes in the area bring the food in at night*.🚫Do not put litter box outside. Putting the litter box outside can attract predators and other cats which might keep your cat from returning home🚫*Putting out the other items listed above, are scents only your cat will recognize* ‼️ They might be nearby and can’t figure out how to get inside ***IF you have a garage or door/sliding door that can be left open*** Leave the garage/ or door cracked for them and place the shoes, bedding, jand unwashed clothing in the garage‼️ ✅Walk around the area calling them calmly early morning and late evening when it’s quiet & shake a bag of treats or a squeaky toy, something they would recognize. ✅If he/she is microchipped contact the microchip company to report him/her lost and make sure your contact info is up to date. ✅Hang flyers (use a bright color board or paper) with picture in your neighborhood, surrounding areas, local shopping centers, businesses, vet's offices, groomers, etc. within a five mile radius from your home. ✅Go door to door with the flyers as well and try to speak with people when handing out flyers. ✅Make a sign with his/her picture and put it in your front yard stating he/she is missing. ✅File a lost report with the shelters in your area and surrounding area shelters ✅Check shelters in person, daily if possible. Ask to see the animals in isolation too. ✅Check shelter websites daily (as it is updated hourly) ✅Check shelter found reports for found postings but not at the shelter. ✅Take a flyer to the shelters. ✅File online with petharbor, pawboost ✅Post on area lost and found pet and community Facebook pages, area shelter Facebook pages, newspapers, nextdoor and Craigslist under "pets" and "Lost and Found". Cats usually are close to home. Hang clothes with your scent out. Ask your neighbors if they would look in their yard or garage or storage sheds to see if he is there or check their Ring camera to see if he was spotted on camera. Make sure you post fliers with your contact information on it so if he is spotted they can call you and tell his location. Keep an access point open for him to slip back in your home. Look in bushes or hiding spots around your home as if he is scared he will make himself safe by finding a hiding spot. Sometimes the best time to find your cat is when the noise level is low - after hours - or early morning hours. Take a flashlight 🔦 and shine and look for the eyes 👀 under cars up trees in bushes. Good luck!
