(Beware of scammers telling you to text or IG someone to find your dog - or saying they have your animal and need you to send them a code. All scams!)
Please post on Nextdoor(.)com FIRST, before anything else, while the dog might still be in the area. It will be seen by neighbors who aren't necessarily on the lost & found pet pages. Also pawboost(.)com, lostmydoggie(.)com and post and definitely LOOK on 24petconnect(.)com (it shows dogs from most shelters)and register here https://24petconnect(.)com/BreedRequest/lost. Immediately put up LOTS of flyers - we start with 500. Use the words "Reward" and "needs ", and have more than one person's phone number. You can print them in b/w on yellow paper for high visibility and less expensive than color, but get help posting them. (Note many people advocate large bright posters at street corners which is fine, but MANY small flyers all over a neighborhood will be seen by people who actually live and do business there, walk their dogs, etc. From experience, I believe they are more effective). Check any nearby homeless camps. They love stray dogs and vice versa. Check the nearby shelters, send them a Lost flyer, but try to make contact every day if possible. If microchipped, notify the chip company to ensure the contact info is current, and in case someone tries to re-register the dog. Good luck.
