Message from Finder

We found this bird near our hse. I guess it had been flying near/ around our hses for a few days now. I haven't found any posts of missing birds that look like this but if anyone has any leads/advice let me know. He is safe and has food and water.

This is a green-cheek conure, specifically a pineapple mutation (light tan head, yellow chest, green wings, bluish tail). Health assessment (from this photo): Eyes mostly closed Feathers slightly fluffed Sitting low and still in a box These signs suggest stress, exhaustion, or possible illness, not a fully alert/healthy state. A healthy conure is usually: Bright-eyed Upright and active Curious and responsive What this likely means: Could be stressed (new environment, recently found, handled) Could be tired or dehydrated Could be early illness (if staying like this for hours) What to do now: Keep it warm (around 75–80°F), quiet, and dim Provide fresh water immediately Offer soft food (pellets, fruit, or soaked seeds) Avoid handling for now Watch closely: If it stays fluffed, sleepy, or weak for more than a few hours → avian vet needed If breathing looks heavy or tail bobs → urgent vet
