The kitty looks very sick, but wouldn’t drink water. He laid in the shade all afternoon, but then took off when we tried to catch him and take him to the vet.

I wonder if you can borrow a trap from a rescue so that you can trap it? White/light colored cats are especially prone to sunburn and being attacked by predators.
