Message from Owner

For six of the nine months he lived, Shin-Chan slept on my lap every night. Although I hadn't yet gotten him fixed or microchipped like some of my other cats, and although I allowed him access to the outdoors during the day, he was very much loved during that time. There are at least two people in my neighborhood who have tried to or have expressed a desire to my pets, so it is out of desperation that this alert is being posted now, so late. Over the past near three weeks, I've spent at least 90 minutes per day searching for Shin-Chan, at all hours, checking neighbors' sheds and crawlspaces. During this time, I have encountered people good and bad, but have not seen him. Shin-Chan had a few health issues that required trips to the vet -- narrow glands, predisposition toward constipation -- but was otherwise very healthy. His mating drive was strong, which often brought him into conflict with the many tom cats nearby. It is equally possible that he is or was hiding somewhere, sick from the stress of a fight, as that he is roaming far away from this neighborhood. I failed Shin-Chan in many ways. However, if he is returned safely, he will be made an indoor cat until the time his new is ready to adopt him. He deserves a wide space where he can roam freely without endangering wildlife, like on a farm, or at least to live in a hse big and populated enough that he is able to resist the call of the wild he was born into. If you've seen a deceased cat matching Shin-Chan's appearance in the road, under your hse, or anywhere else, please let me know. If you see a cat whom you believe to be a stray, please keep in mind that he may be someone's best friend. There is a reward of $250 for my pet's safe return .

I’m in Lakeville and there was a cat at my porch with similar coloring (hard to tell in the dark). Does the ca have a collar with any way to contact you? This one I was able to see a tag with address and phone number.

Is your kitty chipped? Check animal control and humane society's and craigslist good luck 🤞 and check window wells under decks and garages and Storm drains and check trees and bushes and woods and check rescues and nextdoor app and check pet fbi

Mice Fountain-Drobnick There are a lot of kids who run through people's yards here! If anyone responds to these posters I put up, I'm sure it will be kids. Hope I don't receive too many crank emails. On the other hand, some of the kind older folks who've been helping me keep mistaking distant rocks and bushes for my cat...

Thanks for the tip, but there are too many strays here, unfortunately, and management doesn't allow traps. I've followed all the standard advice of researchers such as Kat Albrecht.

Ask neighbor hood kids if they have seen your baby, they always tell the truth, well most of the time
