Message from Owner

For six of the nine months he lived, Shin-Chan slept on my lap every night. Although I hadn't yet gotten him fixed or microchipped like some of my other cats, and although I allowed him access to the outdoors during the day, he was very much loved during that time. There are at least two people in my neighborhood who have tried to or have expressed a desire to my pets, so it is out of desperation that this alert is being posted now, so late. Over the past near three weeks, I've spent at least 90 minutes per day searching for Shin-Chan, at all hours, checking neighbors' sheds and crawlspaces. During this time, I have encountered people good and bad, but have not seen him. Shin-Chan had a few health issues that required trips to the vet -- narrow glands, predisposition toward constipation -- but was otherwise very healthy. His mating drive was strong, which often brought him into conflict with the many tom cats nearby. It is equally possible that he is or was hiding somewhere, sick from the stress of a fight, as that he is roaming far away from this neighborhood. I failed Shin-Chan in many ways. However, if he is returned safely, he will be made an indoor cat until the time his new is ready to adopt him. He deserves a wide space where he can roam freely without endangering wildlife, like on a farm, or at least to live in a hse big and populated enough that he is able to resist the call of the wild he was born into. If you've seen a deceased cat matching Shin-Chan's appearance in the road, under your hse, or anywhere else, please let me know. If you see a cat whom you believe to be a stray, please keep in mind that he may be someone's best friend. There is a reward of $250 for my pet's safe return .

No matter how long your kitty has been gone, stay vigilant with all lost cat protocols and advice - kitty may have been taken in by a well meaning person and could be very near - keep posters and flyers fresh and communications current with local animal control, vets, and rescues for new leads - keep the faith 💪🏼 Use whatever is applicable in the following for your situation: Extra strength prayers your kitty is safe nearby (cats usually stay in the vicinity) and home very very soon - put their food and warm shelter outside your door in a protected area and/or in your garage - diligently canvas the area and local businesses with large colorful posters and flyers - contact local animal control, vets, and rescues for any possible leads - cross post on neighborhood/community FB pages for further reach - cats are superior survivalists - stay vigilant in searching and don’t lose hope 🙏🏻❤️💪🏼 P.s. Beware of scammers saying they have found your kitty and to message them your contact information. And also how an Instagram/FB site helped them find their pet - don't click on site. All BS scammers. 🙏❤️💪🏼
