Flyers are very important. If adopted from a rescue they usually like to know ASAP that a former animal is missing. If your cat has a microchip it's good to make sure your contact information is up to date so you can be contacted if your cat is found. Cats tend to stay close to home before they wander so time is of the essence. I've known a few cats this past year that have returned home when the owner left the garage open about 5 in with a worn piece of clothing near the door entrance but not too wide so you do not attract any unwanted animals. Wishing for a quick safe return....

Put out his liter box and a piece of your clothing. He can smell them. Also look under low bushes and tarps. He gets scared and hides. I know someone who found his missing cat under a neighbors grill tarp.
