Lives in duke street but could have gone into Darley Park or surrounding area he’s very friendly 2 year old ginger and white cat and doesn’t do well in the heat so really worried with the hot weather that’s predicted. Please help us find him we are so worried and miss him terribly.

We found him!!! decided to go out at midnight and search again thinking my voice would carry better when calling him. Best thing I did as he was trapped in a empty house across the road in a out building coal house and we would not have heard his cries had it not been at that time of night! He would have in there if we had just waited for him to come home! So so happy so please tell people that it may be better to search at night for lost pets as there is less noise.

GENERAL ADVICE THAT MAY APPLY OR NOT APPLY TO YOUR CATS 🐈‍⬛ SITUATION —————————————— Ta CAT ADVICE NB -Consider an apple air tag and collar for your cat when they return . I got one for my cat and it helps a great deal. Check gumtree and other selling sites in case stolen . is your cat neutered /speyed /microchipped it’s now the law ! If not this might be why they have wondered off and are now lost, looking for a mate and having kittens somewhere or worse getting into fights - please neuter/spey your cats , as this can be done cheaply with help from cats protection league voucher. See their website. Finding your cat -Try cats protection league lost and found FB pages to look for or AND list him as lost . Also other local rescues . Put your home’s vacuum contents on garden, Put her/his used litter out on garden . Cats follow a familiar scent . Cats are very sensitive to scent and your voice calling their name . Go out very early or very late with a torch and look under cars, bushes etc. into water butts /wheelie bins /under sheds etc. Call his /her name regularly and Walk around the area .Take a bag of cat treats with you to shake as you call him /her . Phone and check with all the rescues and vets in your area to see if he/she’s been handed in … Put up colourful posters all around the area and give out /post flyers for those not on Facebook. Ask local kids to search and offer a reward . Ask neighbours if you can personally check their garages and sheds as cats are curious - hide and then get locked in sometimes. Neighbours may not look properly or may close the door before a scared cat that’s hiding shows itself . Ask neighbours with cat flaps to check he’s /she’s not going in for food and hiding / getting stuck in their houses. Call council road sweepers see if any were cats picked up - better to know this than not know . Also vets etc can supply cat traps Cages that close after car enters to eat but you must check twice a day /daily and don’t leave visible to nasty people or predators of cats ( dogs/foxes) Although foxes rarely go for full grown cats Never Give Up❤️❤️❤️ GENERAL ADVICE THAT MAY APPLY OR NOT APPLY TO YOUR CATS 🐈‍⬛ SITUATION —————————————— LOST CAT ADVICE NB -Consider an apple air tag and collar or other tracker for your cat when they return .
