The dog was found with an injury on his neck. Wound has been cleaned and appropriate care given. He was bathed and fed. We are providing emotional support because he is very afraid and it is crying a lot. Let's help him found his family.

Thank you for sharing. But the search for him home stops today. This is Pecas. A new name. Yesterday, I learned his original name. He once had a small family that made it seem like he truly belonged. He was introduced in social media as "part of the family." Since July 8th, I had been trying to find his home, and yesterday I finally found his original owner. The heartbreaking part is that they never responded, even after I sent a picture of Pecas. I tried different ways to contact them because I thought maybe they had changed their phone number. Instead, I was blocked. At first, I thought maybe he had gotten scared by the fireworks. Then, as the days passed and no one came looking for him, I started wondering if he had been abandoned. Sadly, being blocked confirmed what I feared. I understand that life happens. Circumstances change, and sometimes people have to make the painful decisions to rehome a pet. True love means making sure they are safe, even if it means letting them go to someone else who can care for them. But abandoning them when the temperatures are so high, with no food, no water, and no one to comfort them while they suffer through the fear, anxiety, and sadness of waiting for someone who will never come back...that is cruelty. My heart breaks for Pecas, and I can't help but feel angry about the choice that was made. The least any life deserves is for us to honor the commitment we made to them. Pecas is so young, so loving, and so warm. He almost lost his life due to heatstroke. If someone cannot commit to caring for an animal for its entire life and fails to find them a home that will provide for them, they shouldn't get another one. I am advocating for Pecas and for every animal that has been abandoned or neglected, while raising awareness about the importance of responsible pet ownership. Thank you all who support the search and provide guidance in the process.
