Rent or borrow a humane trap. The SPCA and other animal shelters rent them out for $100. When you return the trap you get your $100 back. Place the trap near where the cat escaped. Put some of the cat's favorite food and treats inside of the trap along with an article of your clothing with your scent on it. This method worked for me on two different occasions. If you trap the wrong cat or some other animal, put a blanket over the trap leaving the door exposed. Stand behind the trap and release the animal. Reset the trap. Time is of the essence so do this asap. Good luck and God bless.

Try leaving out something with his scent .Also door or window open . It is warm now .

Put up posters in sheet protectors and adhere to fluorescent poster paper then attach to light posts in strategic high traffic areas in the community where the cat was lost then expand your search to neighbouring communities as the weeks pass. Also put up in communities where you receive legitimate leads. YOU need people in your neighbourhood helping you to locate your pet. There are likely very few if any people in your neighbourhood on Pawsboost Alert, so they will not know your pet is lost unless YOU spread the word. Daisy was captured within a month, but I recently helped locate Kronk a cat who had only been rehomed for 5 days before he was lost. It took about a week to find Kronk and the tip cane from a lady going out for a walk who saw 3 of the poster. You will most likely need to get a cat trap to catch your cat because once they are lost they go into survival mode and usually don’t come when called.
