Description

Tortoiseshell, very friendly, needs , she has recently developed kidney issues and need to get her and should only be eating her specific diet. She hates collars, which is why she is not wearing one. Her fur is medium length, but matted near her hind quarters which is associated with her illness. The picture is from her recent visit to the Alpine veterinary hosp. She and I are bonded completely, she doesn't even purr when she is with other people, and she will get very depressed so keeping her would be horrible of someone to do... She never goes away for more then a few hours, always returning no matter where we are, unless someone else picks her up, or something has gone wrong.... Please, if there is any other ways to search for her aside from the humane society or impounded pets by the city, I am open to suggestions.

Gloria's Owner Says

Just so everyone knows, you can phone 811 if you are in Calgary, and it will send an alert to animal shelters, impounds and vet offices for you so you don't have to pay to have some app prey on how much you love and miss your pet/family member.

Why would someone let a 17yr old cat wander with so many dangers and older cats being slower, how irresponsible especially since the cats gone missing before. I pray a good family find her and give her a good home, people that will actually take care of this cat in Jesus name. Animal’s live such short lives if you get a pet take care of it properly!!!!

PLEASE READ. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT. IF I HAD KNOWN THESE TIPS I WOULD HAVE MY FUR BABY BACK NOW! Go out looking for kitty. Start searching immediately. Don’t wait for him/her to come home on their own. Kitty is likely close by, may be scared and hiding. Take a can of tuna or smelly cat food with you or kitty’s favourite treats. Look under neighbours decks or steps but don’t give up. So many dangers out there such as coyotes, owls and not so nice humans. Kitty is counting on you. And...this is so IMPORTANT ....!!! If you don’t find kitty today, go out late tonight when it’s quiet and calm around midnight or later and sit on your front steps or back steps and talk out loud softly and say his/her name over and over like you are reading a story book. Be patient it may take some time and more than one night but if kitty is close s/he will hear your voice and come out of hiding. This has worked for me a couple of times. Also leave a window or garage door open so they can get back in when they come back. You can get an inexpensive exterior camera from Amazon for approximately $30. Set it up and monitor, especially at night. Kitties move around very late at night when all is dark and quiet. That’s when they feel safest to move around. Good luck. Hope your fur baby makes it home soon. Don’t give up.
