Message from Owner

Oliver is a very sweet boy and likes to go into people's homes. If he walked into yours please let him out so he can come home. He is very missed. We did just move to these apmts so he may just not know how to get home.

Create a scent station (items with your/your cat’s smell - unwashed bedding, clothing, cat tower, etc. Especially important if cat is in new/unfamiliar area. Do NOT put out litter pan as feces often used to mark territory and may inadvertently attract predators or territorial cats.). Check it often, especially when things are quiet (late evening/early morning). Leave the garage door open 5” overnight. Check nearby Ring/security cameras in the area. Check in and under everything inside and outside with a flashlight. Cats don’t usually go far and freeze in a tight ball in very small, tight, dark areas when scared. The flashlight catches their eyes’ stare, especially at night. Thoroughly check inside your home, especially if this is a new/shy/scared pet. Post on NextDoor app as it covers your local neighborhoods. Be sure to check your local animal shelter in person at least every other day (can’t stress enough - in person!!! You know your pet best plus animals constantly brought in). If your cat is not spayed/neutered, may be why it is “lost” and traveling further. Hope your pet is home safe and soon. (Note: if anyone asks for money or a code as “they have your pet,” this is a scam). https://www.pawboost.com/blog/7-effective-search-tips-for-finding-your-lost-cat/ https://petfbi.org/i-lost-a-cat/tips-to-lure-a-cat-back-home-2/

Go out searching dusk and Dawn. He’s in hiding within a 1 to 2 mile radius of your home. Continue searching don’t give up. I got mine in two weeks but you gotta be diligent. Put up flyers offer a reward.

There is a hoarding duo…old mother and daughter…drive a white Toyota Sienna minivan… They, LITERALLY, drive around and trap/steal cats. They’re currently up to approx 150 cats. Please keep tour cats inside.

Is she Microchipped? If so notify the company that she is missing and make sure your contact info is up to date. Blanket your neighborhood with big bright flyers and ask people to search garages and sheds and parked vehicles like RV'S and other places where she could have gotten trapped inside. Search with a flashlight to reflect eyes and a treat bag to shake and pop top cans of smelly food to pop open now and then. If she is not used to being outside then she is probably hunkered down hiding somewhere close by. Post on other places like Nextdoor and Craigslist and pawboost and lost petcolove org and Facebook lost and found pages but be aware of scammers targeting lost and found pages never give money up front to anyone who says they have your cat or can find her and never agree to meet anyone alone. Borrow a humane trap from a shelter like Hermitage or Pacc and set it up baited outside the exit where she escaped. But never leave a trap unattended or set in extreme heat. Keep searching and spreading the word.
