It's a fact that many lost pups end up close to home. Especially sweet, cute ones as people take them in. Walk your neighborhood for 3-4 blocks, knock on doors and leave pix. Call his name as you walk and he may answer from a yard. Hang flyers offering the reward and post on social networking sites including NextDoor, Ring and Pawboost. Leave an item of clothing or a shoe outside your house to guide your boy home. Leave flyers with local police and fire houses, groomers, doggy daycares, pet stores and your mail carrier since they see everything. Visit vets and leave photos. Someone may bring him in to be chip checked or for a wellness check. If you can, hire a helicopter ride and/or a drone to search from above. Reach out to local news (Fox 5) to share your pup. If he was picked up he is probably at animal foundation so go there and to other shelters daily. Don't wait for them to contact you! Reach out to rescues for help. Prayers for a fast, safe return. ♥️♥️

Please go door to door ask people to check their garages, backyards and other places he could hide or get stuck at so they can be on lookout. Notify chip company if he has one. Scroll check all Foumd dog posts on Pawboost from the day missing day by day and keep checking daily. Start checking Animal Foundation site intake section twice a day. If he was picked up by Animal Control that’s where he will be taken. They only give 72 hrs for owner pickup after that going to adoption list so be proactive. Post on Nextdoor and Ring as welll. Post flyers you can print from Pawboost around area. I expect you find him soon 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️

Babs Fry Tips LOST DOG TIPS FROM BABS FRY She is a pet recovery specialist in San Diego. There are crucial steps to take that make a difference. She was featured on News 8 recently in San Diego. Showing her work helping pet owners find their missing dogs. I personally would not recommend rotisserie chicken or any type of food if you live near open fields or mountains that can attract coyotes. 1. Tips from Babs- Grab a rotisserie chicken (debone), and put it out at your home at the place they escaped from. DON’T run around searching for your dog. This spreads your scent and confuses them. Have people who aren’t close to the dog drive around. 2. Post on Next Door - a neighborhood app that is hugely helpful in starting a search for your pup. 3. Build up the scent around home base, and stay put! Hang out outside, bring dog friends, eat a picnic on the lawn. This works to draw the dog back home. 4. Post Lost Dog signs. 5. If chicken, dog parties, posts and fliers don’t work right away, don’t lose hope! Go to sleep with all gates and the doors to the house open. Their website uses an AI model that will automatically match other listings that may match the picture of your missing pet .
