Description

Black Tortie with some dappled tan areas, except around her middle there is no tan, so it looks like a 2-inch black stripe completely circling her. She has a bright, solid tan stripe under left side of chin that goes down to her chest. And she lost her collar. She can be a bit spicy, especially with men, but is more mellow with females.

Shadow's Owner Says

Thank you all for spreading the call. Shadow came limping back tonight. It looks like she had a fight, just some missing tufts of fur and walking very cautiously; no scratches or bites.

Susan Guthrie Heuke thank you for this information. I did look this morning, but couldn't find her. Next step would have been to go into yards and the undergrowth - there is A LOT nearby. I didn't know about the range, though.

Kitty with outdoor experience? It should know its way home. But since it hasn't come home as usual, experts say it could be trapped/injured somewhere and needs you to search for it. Search its territory (can be up to a 1,500 foot radius around its home) - in/under sheds and decks, neighbors' garages, barns, up trees and roofs, in drains, roadside and every nook that it could seek refuge. At night, use a flashlight in dark areas to get a reflection from its eyes. For neighbors not on social media, knock on their doors and ask to search their property if possible. Ask if anyone feeds cats outside as kitty might be there. Hand out and post laminated, readable LOST fliers with pic and phone number on STOP signs in its territory to get important sightings. Go out with a container of its food, shake it and calmly call it to come eat. Stop and listen for meows. If in Cobb County check CC Animal Services intake photos - https://www.cobbcounty.gov/animal-services/lost-found-pets. For expert advice and support on kitty recovery, go to LostCatsGeorgia.com and register (even if not in GA). It is a free service. Report lost cat to county animal control and visit them.
