We did check. And have been taking care of him we just can't keep him trying to find the owner before we have to take him to the shelter. We even had him check for a chip but he doesn't have one.

You can tell it has a owner  you can tell it’s clean well fed probably lives down that dirt road from where you picked it up at, did you check to see if it’s owner or lived down there? Before you left with it.😢😢 nice of you to help and worry about it but you shouldn’t have just took it unless you checked to see if it lived down that dirt road or near that place you picked it up☹️☹️
