Found wandering in parking lot near El Dorado library in Long Beach. No collar or microchip. He needs his family! *Update 9/24/26* He is now at Long Beach Animal Services on Spring Street, and will be held on a 7-day stray hold, after which he will be eligible for adoption. Please check in on him at the shelter asap if you are missing/ or want to adopt him.

Thanks for your concern. The dog is safe, and on a stray hold at a shelter. I am confident he'll be rehomed responsibly, if needed, and I have also been in touch with a local rescue to possibly rescue him after the hold. He's sweet, friendly, healthy, young, adorable -- and so, highly adoptable. I wish so much I could give him a home.

Thank you for your kindness in helping this dog. Please beware of unscrupulous people who may claim him without verifiable proof of ownership (current license, identifiable vet records, personal photos of pet, etc.). Sadly, there are cruel, dishonest people out there who steal and neglect and especially harm pets.

If you find a dog PLEASE...... Keep it secure indoors and contact the shelter as soon as possible, to let them know you have the dog… That is the ONE place EVERY owner that cares looks, while many are not on social media or assume the worst. Also any Vet will check the dog for a chip for free. Thanks for helping the dog

Susan Christmas I hope so. He was wandering the parking lot, very scared. I'm sure someone is looking for him, but I didn't want to leave him like that near a busy street.
