Message from Owner

Please if you see Mochi our neutered and microchipped male tabby cat, could you please let us know? He is not familiar with being outside and is on some kind of adventure we are hoping. He let himself out of the doggie door and has not returned. He does not know how to hunt , loves to eat and has an older "sister" cat he loves, so thought he would make his way back . So far no. We are concerned a predator animal may have found him. His black and white skull and cross bones kitty collar has a tag with his name and my husband's cell phone number on it. If you find the collar could you also let us know? We are worried he is hungry, thirsty and does not know how to take care of himself in the wild.

Thank you for having him neutered and microchipped ❤️ Be sure to contact the chip company and tell them that he's missing. Also make sure your contact info is up-to-date on their website. If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Look up in trees in case he was chased. Walk the neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Call him in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if he likes that kind of stuff. He's probably hunkered down and hiding nearby, but he may not answer you when you call - that's just instinctual, as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators. Put his beds/blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porches and around the perimeter of your yard. When he comes home, if your yard is fenced in, you might consider putting up cat-fencing or coyote rollers on top of the fence to keep him safely in your yard, in case he gets the urge to go out the flap again (both can be DIY). Good luck ❤️
