The cat does not have a “tipped ear” (tip removed) meaning the cat has not previously been trapped, neutered and/or spayed and released back to the area from which it came, as a “street cat”. TNR prevents further litters of kittens born to suffer life on the streets. Neutering also stops male cats from spraying, which is “territory marking”.
