MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Amelia had only been in Durham 5 days. She seemed panicked about staying inside a different . I thought she was going to hyperventilate and was worried about her, so I made the mistake of letting her out while I watched her. She took off and hasn’t been seen since! She’s been with me through a lot, is extremely loving but usually hides from strangers. I miss her! About 6 years old.

DESCRIPTION

Calico, mostly orange with black spots on head, back, sides and tail. The rest is mostly white. Pink nose, white whiskers.

Place her litter box outside. She can smell it.

Most indoor cats stay close to home, so keep looking and focus on your immediate area. Look up (trees), down (crawl spaces) and inside (sheds).

Put a cat trap(Lowes Have a Heart) around your house with some really smelly sardines. I caught 2 feral kittens, my feral cat, and a neighbor's escaped cat with it. Be prepared to release stay possum, cats, maybe racoon in the process. I put in shade and cover with a tarp so it looks like a safe hiding spot.
