MP Ibarra yes bringing them indoors is the preferred and ideal situation. But laying a cat on a dampened wet towel I don't think would be harmful. I don't mean dousing them in water, I meant giving them drinking water

Barb Olson You should never wet an overheated cat. That does more harm than good by overheating them when the water evaporates. It’s best to bring them inside and keep them calm if they are showing signs of overheating like panting excessively.

Oh, I wish she were my cat, Bibi, whom I lost 9 years ago 😢. But she doesn’t have the white paws. I remember that last year there was a very similar cat posted for adoption in the Arizona Ferals group. I wonder if it could be the same one.

If you can't find the owner I would be happy to take her and not leave her outside in this heat. Please don't leave her outside it's too warm and when you don't feel good it makes it worse.

Cats are typically found close to their home, she may belong to a neighbor. Please put up flyers, talk to neighbors, post on Nextdoor.com. Thank you for helping her.
