πŸ”» πŸ”» Can you or Have you set a Humane live trap? MUST BE MONITORED CLOSELY Cover the trap to block wind, rain, snow, sun. An old throw rug or towel with the scent of home is helpful. Large paper leaf bags work as well, trap fits in nicely 🐾 Alert all neighbors and ask to check sheds, garages, under decks, bushes, even old dog houses. If possible place pets bed in garage with food and something that smells like home. Leave garage door up just enough to allow entry for kitty. 🐾 πŸ”΄ PLEASE USE CAUTION DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER, TRAP SHOULD BE MONITORED EVERY 15 MINUTES for the well being of the animal ☺️

LOST CAT TIPS Below are tips suggested by professional cat trappers that I know. Pray you find your cat soon πŸ™πŸΌ Cats typically don't go very far, and are hiding, so you'll have to search for them. Litterbox may attract community cats and predators. Put clothing/bedding that smell like him/her and his/her family outside the home immediately. If you have a garage, leave the door open enough for him/her to get in. If you live in a mobile home community look under yours and your neighbor's homes. Check around your home: bushes, up in trees, deck, porch etc. If their head fits their body will too! Door-knock neighbors and ask them to check outbuildings, sheds, garages and ring cam footage. Use a flashlight to look under cars, bushes and up in trees for the glow of the kitties eyes. Go out periodically through out the night shaking his/her treats or opening a can of wet food and call to him/her. Listen for any responses and watch for movement and/or eyes peering out. Renting/borrowing/buying a live trap and setting within the first 24 hours your cat has been missing is a good idea. Live traps need to be monitored frequently. Be prepared to release wildlife. If you aren't able to do this, let me know and I will try to find someone to help with this. Post on Nextdoor and any other neighborhood groups on Facebook. Ask neighbors to check security camera footage for sightings of him and to call you ASAP. Post on For the Love of Louie and check the page for posts with Found cats. Posting flyers in your neighborhood is very important to the recovery of your lost pet. If you need a flyer made, please let me know and I'll make one for you.
