Sarah Sison Aveno crack open your garage so he has a way in on his own when he's ready and it will give him a place to hide from predators. Indoor only cats rarely go far. So while it's dark use a flashlight and search nearby small dark hiding places scared or hurt kitties will hide even from owners so call calmly and while he might not answer the light will reflect off his eyes
