Lost Pet Some helpful ways to help find a Lost Pet: 1-Put up large, eye catching NEON poster board signs up asap around stop signs and intersections within a 2 mile radius where lost, and in your yard. Some people don't have social media, and they are easier to sed than just flyers. Make sure you include a description of the animal, and exact road/location last seen with city and state, a good phone number to reach you. Include a picture if you have one. You can get the supplies like the poster boards, and black wide markers at the Dollar Tree. The eye-catching neon signs are very important, because someone may have picked up your baby thinking that it is lost. You may have to get creative on how to out up the poster board signs. They sell wooden and metal stakes at Walmart and Lowes in the yard sale sign section. You may want to bring a staple gun too. -Recruit friends and family to make posters at the same time people are searching. 2-Ask your neighbors to check their security cameras and trail cameras. Check your security cameras. Check with trusted neighbors as well to see if they have seen your dog. 3-Search as soon as possible!!! Search in your car, and on foot too within several miles of the location last seen. Search in the woods, culverts, bushes, etc... If you know anyone with search dogs or drones, ask them to help asap. (Ask your friends and family to help you in the search. ) 4-Alert animal shelters and local vet offices in your area. 5-Make a free Pawboost online, and put up flyers around the town lost as well as the shelters and vet offices. 6-Share to your Facebook and all lost pet sites in your area, and other social media sites as well. pet if you have one. Some people forget certain information, and it is critical when trying to get your pet back. These posts get shared far and wide, so make sure you include a description of the animal, exact road/location last seen with city and state, a good phone number to reach you, and a picture of your. ---Remember searching in the area last seen and the neon poster boards, and shares to social media like facebook should be done as soon as possible! 7-Consider contacting a tracker or search organization on Facebook AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. 8-Ask your neighbors to check their security cameras for sightings or businesses or neighbors where you think your pet went missing. 9-There are unfortunately a lot of scammers on facebook and social media that prey on people's misfortune. Beware of scammers that want you to contact them. Most are all scams. Example: "Contact ____ ____ ____ now @ 555-555-5555 and they will help you. I don't know what I would have done without them. They helped me so much to find my dog. Call them now, or click the link below! " --------------------------------- Things to do just asap: Please see if you can get a drone or a pet search and rescue with search dogs to look for your baby asap. Please ask or beg your neighbors, friends, family, or anyone that will help to form a search party, and fan out and search in the vicinity lost. Look around bodies of water, culverts, tree lines, under decks, cars, brush, or anywhere she could have wandered. Hopefully she/he hasn't gotten too far. Your pet may be confused looking to find her way because she can't see or hear. Ask neighbors with security cameras or trail cams to check them. Put out some toys, or something with her scent or your scent like clothing, or her dog bed outside your house. Maybe your pet will smell it. Please make not just flyers, but HUGE, NEON posters with pictures, and contact number. Put it in your yard, where lost, stop signs/intersections, red lights. (You want to do this asap too, because someone may have picked your baby up, and if they pass by they will surely see it. PLUS, a lot of people do not have social media. ) -Please search, search, search, search, and please consider hiring a tracker with dog, or search with drone. Please beg anyone in your life that is close to help you search. Please share to every local Lost Pet Facebook page in your area, as well as your own timeline, and ask them to share. Put exactly where they were lost. Road, city, state, date, and your contact number with pic. ( For your safety, don't put your exact address, but at least the road, city, state, and date missing. ) I'll post more info, but in a nutshell this is of most important right now to do asap. REMEMBER, DO NOT DELAY SEARCHING, social media outreach, checking shelters, calling chip company, local vets, and putting up signage. (Someone can make signs, while others search ) Ask your trusted neighbors to search as well. Don't rely solely on social media, because there are a lot of people that do not have it, that could have picked up your dog. Have your friends and family help you search. I'm praying that you find your beautiful baby. 🙏🏻🐾
