1. Join Paw Boost Alert and Next Door but talk to neighbors as they may not be on social media .
2. If microchipped alert the company.
3. Post flyers on neon colored poster paper and put in zip lock bags.
4. Look under houses, porches, decks, grills and bushes.
5. Look in garages, sheds, drain pipes and sewers .
6. Go out late at night like midnight- 6am and call calmly. Take a strong flash light to reflect on the cats eyes. Take treats
7. Set up outdoor feeding stations and bait with canned mackerel or sardines and put out water. Check for freezing.
8.If you can check it often set a have-a-heart cat trap. Borrow from a rescue or buy at a tractor supply . Bait as above. Put a tarp over top part only or dark towel.
9. Notify all area shelters and go in person every day or two as many shelters are full.
10. Indoor cats are usually hiding or stuck within 7 houses or 50 yards; indoor-outdoor within 17 houses or 345 yards unless they hitched a ride.
