Oh I know! I’ve been in this situation myself. Sometimes I haven’t been able to get a surrender date for weeks or even months. I’ve used my laundry room as a temporary “waiting” home, but if the kitty can’t stay inside, perhaps he could live in an insulated, straw-filled outdoor home until there’s space in a shelter.
