MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Our sons 1.5 year old kitten, Neo, escaped from the hse in the morning of Monday August 15. He sneaks out every now and then but always comes back within 12 hours. It’s been over 48 hours and we are really worried! He was hit by a car back in May, and he had two surgeries stone. One to remove his left eye which was damaged, and the other to wire his jaw shut as it was stuck open from the impact of the car. Miraculously he didn’t break or fracture any bones and did not have any internal bleeding or problems. We adopted Neo and his brother from the same litter, Lily, last year in May. They were born on Valentines Day 2021 and it is very fitting because they have so much LOVE to give and bring the most joy to our family. Lily is lost without his brother and has been meowing (crying) on the step waiting for his best friend to come ! If anyone has seen him, or even MIGHT have seen him, please please call me at (403) 402-9717 anytime day or night. He is extremely friendly and will for sure come to you if your shake a bag of treats or if you have a laser pointer in your hand and shake it so it jingles, he comes running to play with the laser. He has a turquoise collar and tag with his name on it and phone number. He is also tattooed in the ear. Ankles are still shaved from surgery and he has only one eye. Thank you!!!!!!! Help us find our little guy :(

Copied- these are some good tips- good luck ! 💕 Please don't give up looking - he's probably hiding somewhere close. Go out and take his favorite treats and call. Ask your neighbors to check their garages - sheds - under stairs - decks and bushes. He's probably hiding somewhere close and feeling scared and confused. Ask your neighbors to check more than once - cats are very good at hiding. Check at night late when it's quiet as that's when he may feel safer to come out. Put out his some of your worn clothes. The scent will help him find home. Go out at night when it's quiet and take his favorite treats. Call him softly and listen for soft meows back - especially near garages and sheds he may have become trapped inside. Take a flashlight and look under bushes and other hiding places for reflective cat eyes. Ask your family and friends to help you make posters and put them up all over your neighborhood - especially near stores and your community center. Call Veterinary clinics and animal shelters in case someone brought him in or called about spotting him. Post on YYC site too - they have a very large following. Don't give up - keep looking especially at night. I hope you find him soon. I'm sharing. Please post in YYC group too. They have a very large following. The more people looking for your kitty the better. Please also consider building a catio for your kitty. Catios can be any size or shape and they keep your kitties safe. They also save the lives of many small song birds. Please consider building a catio - you can Google them for ideas.
