Barbara Leinberger Rebbe Thank you for the suggestion. I was traveling through KCMO from Denver to Beaufort SC. We were only supposed to stay the night of Feb. 1, had just checked in, was unloading our four dogs to go to our room when these two ran off and didn't come back at 10:29PM. I looked for them most of the night, I was in a F250 crew cab pulling our horse trailer, which I eventually left and the hotel to look for them after a neighbor had driven me around for an hour looking. We stayed an extra two nights. I spread their dog bed out throughout the city (someone said I'd drive the dogs in circles but the point was to get them seen and exhausted) the trailer alone was a HUGE scent station! It broke my heart in a million pieces that I had to pull out late morning on Weds. 2/4 to get to SC and drop off the truck, trailer and other two dogs, because I had to turn around and fly back to Denver to move my father out of his assisted living facility, fly him to AZ and move he and my mother into an assisted living facility there, together. That took me until March 1, when I flew back to Denver, gathered some things essential to look for Garlic and Basil again, and flew into KC and stayed through the 5th looking and canvasing the city again. They are both chipped, the chip company has received NO alerts that they have been scanned, there have been NO sightings at all since they ran off and I lost them when I was on foot after them. They've never gotten away from me or not come back to check in before (the Lab in them to scout and check back...). I love them soooo much and have done everything I can think of so far and there are tons of people looking still, trappers included, and I am so very grateful but at the same time very sad, scared, and I feel guilty for driving out of Denver that day, not handling unloading differently, not finding them, leaving, not finding them again, and a veriety of other things/regrets... please keep watching for them. Garlic is almost 80#'s, she is about 50#s, it isn't in their nature to be inconuous.... I'm very worried and will not give up praying, hoping and looking for them.... thank you!
