Heather May put a piece of your worn clothing that has your scent on it outside. Cats can smell from a mile away. Just refresh your scent on it daily by rubbing the clothing on yourself. This has worked for me 3 times with 3 different cats at different places as well as MANY others that I recommended this to. Most cats stay close to home unless they get chased off by a loose dog or something and become lost in the process. So be patient. It can take time depending on how far she may have traveled.
I don't recommend putting any food out because it could attract other neighborhood cats, loose dogs, wild animals and predators searching for food. When my cats came home they either meowed loudly at the door or waited on the porch until I opened the door.
Please check your home to behind all closed doors. Closets (even on top shelf), cabinets, laundry rooms, inside front loading washers and dryers, behind bottom drawers, garage, outdoor shed/storage. Also check with neighbors who have garages and/or outdoor sheds. A scared cat will often seek a hiding place through an opened door and get trapped inside.
I hope and 🙏🙏🙏 that Junebug finds her way home safely.
