NJ Lost Dog
Put owner’s scented clothing at last sighting and check the area often. You can use a wildlife camera with an app that allows monitoring.
Hire and/or consult with a professional. Find someone who has tracking dog and/or drone. Feel free to copy & paste to share with other lost dog owners.
Very important. Don’t lose precious time. Notify police and animal control for your local areas and bring them a poster. Please hire a professional tracker for consultation and tracking, you can research pawboost alert system, and put up posters everywhere.
Leave a scented piece of owner’s clothing for the dog to trace back to the spot where last sighted. Please save tip below to share with as many owners of lost dogs as possible. Try these tips on this website - remove commas and space below for full website url. Some groups won’t accept links so this is best way to share if there are rules re: websites.

Tips for searching on Mission Reunite and Missing Animal Response.
You need to post neon flyers and distribute to all who walk or patrol areas with note on poster Do Not Chase or Call Name, Call with Sighting. Bring to all local shelters, rescues, vets, police and animal control. Also ask if you can post a lost ad at each place. If dog was adopted from rescue or shelter, notify them immediately.
Please share poster indicating Do Not Chase Or Call Name, Call With Sighting to following Facebook pages Lost Dogs in New Jersey, and depending on location to Lost and Found Pets of Central Jersey, Union County Lost Pets, and Middle County NJ Lost and Found Pets, or any other local lost and found town, county, and state pages. Message if questions about any of the above.
Try Pawboost for flyers and notifications to local vets, rescues, and shelters if intetested. Nextdoor app is also good for notifying neighbors.
Check Petfinder for dogs in rescue and shelter, and go to local shelters in person daily. If dog has microchip, call the company to report lost and ensure chip is registered and information is correct.
If open to this, try animal communicator Marie Ganz who works with healer Karin Anne Nikischer to provide detailed description of area pet is lost with maps and will provide updates when requested if pet is on the move. They have helped reunite multiple owners with their pets. If Marie and Karin are unavailable, you could try animal communicator/psychic also recommended on FB lost pet sites, Hilary Renaissance.
