My personal experience has been first securing other cats in another closed-off room, dimming/turning off most or all inside/outside lights and — if safe to do so and should be supervised — leaving doors (especially door/window escaped through) open/ajar in the very early morning (basically, need to camp out in room where door is ajar). (Cats have a keen wide-ranging/radius sense of smell; therefore, it is so important to get their familiar “home” scents into the airwaves.) Every time, my little escape artist has come bolting through the door between 3:00 — 5:00 AM. (NOTE: When he’s escaped and door is closed, he panics and takes off again — it is important they have a way in once they come out of hiding and make a mad dash for home.) Hopefully, if not used to being outdoors, NUGGET is very close by just scared to come out until it’s really dark and really quiet. Prayers for a quick safe return !!🙏🏻

Escaped his enclosure,what did you mean his enclosure,is his enclosure outside?Did he run out the door of the house? Put his towels outside on the porch, on a windowsill,a deck, put his owner's worn clothes outside on a clothing line,or a hanger ,hang out on a windowsill,a deck,fire escape,etc, the scent will travel and help guide the cat back home. Put up flyers in the neighborhood where the cat is lost,put them up on street posts,on porches,in doorways, on apartment doors,in nearby businesses, stores markets, veterinary clinics and pet stores. Bambi ok make sure he has 10 gallons of water 10 cans of food buy some pee pee pads or him and get like some kind of litter box like you can scoop and just put them out back and I’ll get him first thing in the morning. thank you you have a good night

Check with neighbors might have got locked inside garage etc, hiding under cars or houses near by. Bring favorite treats / a can of tuna late in the day and call out, kitties hide when scared. Hope you find your fur baby!! Also if you have a double fence check in between, someone found their fur baby and it was too late. 😔 Try putting out clothes with your scent or their bed. Do not put out a litter box as that attracts coyotes. A lot of people have found their kittie early am / between 12 and 3. Maybe a good idea if kittie is an indoor / outdoor cat, to keep indoors due to Coyotes on the hunt day and night. **Someone just found a fur baby that was locked inside a shed for days. So do ask neighbors who have sheds.**
