Message from Owner

My grandma's emotional support cat escaped during a domestic dispute. Family members may not have the cat's best interest at heart - they may prefer that grandma doesn't have the cat because it's easier for them.

Go down to Young Williams see maybe if he’s been picked up. Put up flyers everywhere. Don’t give up. Maybe he’s in somebody’s home safe. there have been cats been found up to a year later they have been reunited with their people. Keep the faith that the kitty will get back home..

Sorry your grandma's beautiful kitty is missing and under such stressful circumstances. Is he microchipped? Is he indoor-only? Is he wearing a collar with identifying information? Be sure to post on all local lost pet sites including Skippy Lou's and West Nashville and Bellevue Lost and Found Pets. If he is indoor-only be sure to include the info. Check the found cat posts also. Put flyers up in your neighborhood--not everyone checks social media. Let local vets and shelters know. Make sure he is not trapped in the house somewhere. He could very well be hiding from the stress. Cats can hide in incredible places, check everywhere even mattress boxsprings, sofa linings, etc. From my experience, when indoor cats get outside, they usually do not go far. Look VERY nearby: in trees, in bushes, under cars, under porches, under decks, and in your neighbor's yards. Ask your neighbors to be on the lookout for him and to check their crawlspaces, garages, and sheds. Cats sometimes get trapped there. Shake his treats or call him like you do when you feed him. Place your clothing outside so he can follow the scent. Know that he is probably scared and may not respond to your voice or you calling his name. They go into survival mode. When our indoor cat got out, we had walked by him several times while calling his name and he stayed hidden in the bushes. So really look. Bring an open container of tuna when you are looking. Use a flashlight when looking for him to catch his eye reflections. I am praying that he gets home immediately.
