Message from Owner

We are looking for our sweet boy, Purrfessor meow meow. He's very skittish, and shy, but very lovable once he warms up. He is my autistic son's best friend and we would do anything to get him back!

Shared๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ This woman has great tips on her site . I used the one below as well as a friend of mine. I have her downloaded book which is a quick read with tons of good info . I will gladly email it to you , pm your email address ( too big of a file for messenger) . She even answered our questions about strays in our area that may hv kept my friendโ€™s cat in hiding . Also if you can rent a trap from St cats in Nay Aug park , Griffin Pond Animal Shelter or No Nonsense Neutering in Plains that will be helpful. Leave the door he escaped from or window cracked open in evening when it gets dark . Buy a cheap driveway sensor from Harbor Freight ($14) place by door and wait . Donโ€™t leave food at all times ( only supervised) or litter outside it will attract other cats or wildlife & drive him further away https://www.lostcatfinder.com/

Please do these things asap, especially the dirty clothes and traps. Cats tend to stay close to home. Keep putting food out for him/her. Also place several pieces of recently worn, unwashed clothing outside of your house ASAP. If possible, try to borrow a humane trap and set it by the door through which the cat escaped. This is probably the best way to catch him/her because he/she may be returning to the house but you just aren't seeing them. Once you put a trap out, remove any other food except for the food in the trap. Call his/her name at night when it's quiet, and listen for his/her meow. Post fliers in your neighborhood, at pet stores and vet offices, etc. Be patient and continue to do this. Cats can be gone for days, weeks, or longer, and then just show up one day. Talk to your neighbors so they know to look for him/her and will know he/she is your missing pet and not a stray cat. If you engage people personally, they will be more likely to contact you if they see him/her. Also if you can safely leave the door open through which she escaped, do so and put a pile of dirty clothes and some stinky food like tuna, outside the door he or she got out from! Also check every nook and cranny in your home. Sometimes they are hiding in the smallest and unusual places! Good Luck!
