you can call 311 for animal to pick up dog. it might take up to a few days and someone will have to be home at pick up time. they will not go into your property to retrieve dog w someone allowing them access

Thank you for helping this elderly guy with medical treatment & keeping him safe! You have a big heart! What are you going to do if the owner doesn't have the funds to pay you back? If the owner sees this post & doesn't have the funds, I would hope that they would still contact you about getting him back home.

can you get dog scanned for chip at any vet or police station. cacc open 3-630p for stray intake must show a state ID with a chicago address. the eariler you go the better bc if line gets too long they will cut off line. if an owner come forward, ask for proof of ownership and pics. sometimes police can transport dogs to cacc as long as manpower allows
