Black long haired Persian?. Fur has been shaved/cut off. Petite or young. Left ear has been cut off horizontally. Has meak meow and is thin.

Black long fur that had been sheered off. Under fur is gray. Looks like a Persian. It is petite or young. Cat was friendly enough to be picked up. Is now in secure environment with all essentials. Checking to see if it was microchipped on Monday.

Lisa Vanderbilt I figured he was a domesticated cat to be shaved the way he is. Poor cats so many just thrown away, cast aside to fend for themselves.

Helen Vrabec-Conley The only injury or procedure is his left ear which has been healed for some time. No gashes. Perhaps you thought his choppy fur on its body is a gash. It is scared but friendly and was clearly searching for help. Trapped, ferral cats do not behave like this cat.

Possibly TNR. But there looks like some healed over gashes. Poor kitty.
