Romeo looks like a mini cheetah, spotted not striped on his sides, lanky and long legged, often vocal when distressed. He does not wear a collar for safety reasons due to his highly active outdoor behavior.

Message from Owner

Romeo is an indoor/outdoor cat who comes and goes through a cat door. He is generally quite leery of strangers. Please do not chase or trap inside your home, he will likely become intolerantly vocal and destructive if kept in against his will. Please email with any sightings. He is an avid rodent hunter. He is so very missed and loved by his mother!!

To find a cat lost in the city, act quickly by searching nearby hiding spots, contacting local shelters and veterinary offices, and spreading the word through online posts and flyers on community bulletin boards and lampposts. Encourage neighbors to check their garages and sheds for your cat. For indoor cats, a thorough search of your home for hidden spots is the first step, followed by expanding the search outside your immediate vicinity. Immediate Actions Conduct a thorough search of your home and property: Check under furniture, in closets, attics, behind appliances, and in any small, dark spaces where a frightened cat might hide. Search the immediate neighborhood: Walk around your home and your neighbors' yards, checking under bushes, decks, and inside any open vehicles or sheds. Contact neighbors: Ask them to check their garages, sheds, and under decks for your cat. Spreading the Word Create "Lost Cat" flyers: Include a clear photo, your cat's name, breed, color, age, and your contact information. Post flyers strategically: Place them on utility poles, at local grocery stores, libraries, pet supply stores, and community centers. Use online platforms: Post on local Facebook groups, Nextdoor, and Craigslist to get the word out to a wider audience. Contact local organizations: Notify all local animal shelters, humane societies, and veterinary offices. Provide them with a description and your contact information. Visit shelters daily: Do not just call; visit shelters in person every day to see if your cat has been brought in. Long-Term Strategies Keep your flyers fresh: Replace any faded or damaged posters. Use a live trap: For skittish indoor cats, consider setting up a humane live trap at night with familiar-smelling items like a blanket or your worn clothing; dirty socks are best. Update microchip information: If your cat is microchipped, contact the microchip company to ensure your contact information is current and report your cat as missing.
