Luis Hurtado also, note that certain cities have contracts with certain shelters. So he has to be taken to the shelter that city belongs to.

Evelia Lopez thank you, my front yard neighbor has him now as he can hold on to him longer than I can since his yard is bigger than mine. I provided him information of a no shelter in Midway City if he can't hold him longer himself, and I'll pass along your suggestion about the microchip. Thank you for your advice!

aww poor pup. if you haven't tried yet get her scanned for a chip, report her as found to OC Animal Shelter in case owners are looking there, and lastly post some printed flyers in area in case owners don't have SM. Plz ask for proof of ownership 🙏 if as a last resort you can't hold onto her for the 30 days reach out to rescues or AC.
