UPDATE: Black cat seen today at 6pm in same area of Hamilton Commons but clearly wearing green(?) collar. Not able to make out any other distinguishing features or markings. Unclear if this is the same cat as this original post because prior video footage did not show an obvious collar (but what could have been one or a white tuft on chest, footage quality was lacking).

Has been spotted roaming in yards around Hamilton Commons townhouses (first sighting Saturday, 8/15, although may have been in area longer). Appears solid black with no ear tip. Frequent in mornings/afternoons and unclear if also roaming area at night.

Update: cat seen today in same area but on another camera. A collar (green?) was clearly visible so it may be a different cat. Could not see any other distinguishing features or markings. Prior sightings the footage quality did not show an obvious collar but one might have been present (or a white tuft on chest). Image from 6pm today attached.

If it's helpful, this is right across the 33 & Jumping Brook intersection from Jumping Brook apartments in Neptune (if anyone is familiar with the area). I plan to reach out to their management to see if they will send a message to residents about potential lost pets. From what I understand, that community may have an issue with stray/dumped cats.

Brandon Fisher I'm looking into getting a humane trap for scanning. I have never seen the cat in real time to attempt an approach (all activity has been seen after the fact on camera when the cat is no longer visible in the area). Today was the first time observed on my patio or near an entrance. Before it would stick to the outer perimeter of the yards.
