Leave the bird cage outside with perch and bird toys - make sure the cage door is open. Also hang some articles of your worn clothing or birds favorite scent out near the open cage. Post signs with your contact information and the birds picture where the bird went missing. Post to Next Door - any community page that can get the information out. Play bird chirping sounds and stop and listen for a response from your bird. Prayers your bird is found safely.

Aww! He’s beautiful! Reminds me of the parrot my brother gave my mom name Ozzy. She ended up not wanting him so my friends mom took him. Hoping he lived a long life after that. Praying for your baby to be home safely soon

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US https://m.facebook.com/groups/637611853061306/permalink/3496790493810080/?mibextid=Nif5oz To Maxie's owner: we are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
