Right! I’m an animal lover too. But I don’t see a picture and automatically feel the need to attack a person who is just simply doing their best to help a creature. People !! AAALLLLLL they have to do is quit jumping to conclusions, AND FREAKING READ THE POST AND COMMENTS 🤦🏻‍♀️

Susie Akers Davenport it was the person who originally found it that fed it the crackers. The experienced bird owner got it after the pic was taken. She posted that info in a comment, and added that the bird is no longer in a box, but in a bird cage.

This is written in the post, so I think for now the bird is in safe hands. Message from Finder: "Friendly parakeet found at the UK Veterinary Diagnostic Lab, is being cared for by an experienced bird owner until owner is located It baffles me how a pet bird would be out in the wild like that 🤔

Thanks to everyone for your care and concern. The individual who initially found the bird, put it in the box, and took the photo is not familiar with birds and didn't know any better. An experienced bird owner and vet tech immediately came to pick up the bird and is caring for it until the owner can be found. I cannot edit the original post but will put updated pictures in the comments
