Go in person to the GCAC and the GCHS as many pets are overlooked by staff. Also say a prayer to St Anthony as he is the saint who helps find lost things. Tony Tony look around something precious is lost and must be found. It has worked for me several times. I did share.

Be Proactive and Aggressive in your search. Act Fast. Sometimes people wait, mistakenly thinking cat will just come home on their own. Don’t give up. Cats usually stay within a 5 House Radius. Indoor cats don’t usually go far. They get scared and try to be quiet. They could be hunkering down in nearby bushes, under decks/porches, crawlspaces etc. Look in garages/sheds, rafters, trees and drainage pipes in ditches. Look in the same places you already did again and again because cats will move to different nearby places if spooked. I’ve had people say they found their cat in a place they looked at a few times. Place a humane trap with stinky food in it on your property or ask neighbors if you can put one on theirs. If you have a dog, use their strong sense of smell taking them for a walk around the neighborhood and your home. Alert neighbors and ask to look on their property and garages/sheds, under sheds too if obvious holes dug by animals. Go out often in the quiet of night between 12-5 with a High Lumens Tactical LED flashlight looking for glowing eyes. Sit out in the quiet of night and read a book out loud in a calm and soothing voice. Shake noisy cat toy or treats. Keep garage slightly open with cats bed/blanket and articles of owners unwashed items. Also check thoroughly indoors, dresser drawers, linen closets, totes, under couch cushions, under couches/recliners, inside the lining under couches/chairs, cupboards, behind washer/dryer, fridge, stove, water heater, furnace, basement etc.. Neon posters at intersections, otherwise how would someone who isn’t on social media and might have seen or taken in your cat know some is looking. Physically go to shelters and leave info every couple days. Do NOT put out the litter box, it’s a Myth, it will attract other strays or predators keeping your cat hiding or even leaving the area. Coyote hunters put out Used cat litter to lure in coyotes. Leave info at local veterinarian offices. Also post on Facebook pages, For The Love Of Louie Michigan Lost Pet Lookers. Also post on your local Nextdoor app and the Pawboost app, they will send out email alerts to members and will also post on local Facebook Lost and Found Pets groups. Even if you don’t have a Ring camera, you can join Neighbors Ring and see if anyone has posted seeing kitty in their camera and you can make a post there. Good Luck. Put tuna or sardines and shoes with your scent on the porch or backyard right away also go out late at night and call quietly and shake a bag of treats. Fingers crossed. Probably close by and scared Make sure to report missing to area shelters. Post flyers all around the neighborhood. Ask neighbors to check their yards, garages, sheds under decks, cars and bushes. 🚨Please follow these tips immediately suggested by professionals. They have been successful for others. LOST CAT TIPS Your Missing Cat will try to re-enter the home when the neighborhood is quiet. If it all possible, leave the door ajar that the kitty escaped from and secure other companion animals to a separate room of the home. He/she will try to re-enter when the neighborhood is quiet in the evening and overnight hours. Make sure you physically check underneath and in the engine compartment of your vehicles prior to starting in the morning. Cats typically don't go very far, and are hiding, so you'll have to search for them. Put clothing/bedding that smell like him/her and his/her family outside the home immediately. Along with some smelly food such as tuna,. sardines,. mackerel fish in front of camera if you have one. The usually will follow the scent home. If you have a garage, leave the door open enough for him/her to get in. If you live in a mobile home community look under yours and your neighbor's homes. Check around your home: bushes, up in trees, deck, porch etc. If their head fits their body will too! Door-knock neighbors and ask them to check outbuildings, sheds, garages and ring cam footage. Use a flashlight to look under cars, bushes and up in trees for the glow of the kitties eyes. Go out periodically through out the night shaking his/her treats or opening a can of wet food and call to him/her. Listen for any responses and watch for movement and/or eyes peering out. Renting/borrowing/buying a live trap and setting within the first 24 hours your cat has been missing is a good idea. Live traps need to be monitored frequently. Be prepared to release wildlife. You can purchase a live trap at tractor supply store. Use sardines, mackerel fish or tuna in the trap, they will not go in a trap for cat food. The only food they should have access to is what's in the trap or they will not go in. Post on Nextdoor app and any other neighborhood groups on Facebook. Ask neighbors to check security camera footage for sightings of him and to call you ASAP. Post on For the Love of Louie *Michigan Lost Pet Lookers* Also post on pawboost online for lost and found pets. Posting neon posters in your neighborhood is very important to the recovery of your lost pet. Also give a flyer to the mailman. You can use neon poster board from the dollar store. Write missing cat, a description of your cat and phone number with a marker.

Put a blanket or sweatshirt with your scent on it out by your home and when it is dark, go out with a flash light to look. It will ight up the eyes if near by. Shared and praying.
