MESSAGE FROM OWNER

She's one of the best cats I've ever had, she acts just like a little toddler. She's very clean and bathes herself constantly. She's afraid of being outside, I think she got scared when she was trying to chase some squirrels and got confused. She would always run back into the hse whenever I tried to take her on walks or take her out to see some fresh air. She lives on Robert's Road. She loves affection but isn't very cuddly and has a deathly fear of water, I think something happened to her before we found and adopted her. Please don't try to give her a bath if you find her, she will scratch you when she's trying to get away but she doesn't mean to hurt anyone and has never acted out aggressively even while playing. She's extremely gentle and considerate. I'm very afraid that she might try to befriend something that might hurt her.

DESCRIPTION

Very sweet but timid around strangers, loves treats & very food motivated. Her back looks like a tree on a hill with a little black sun to the side of it. She has little white strands running through her black fur and the edges of her splotches look like they're almost glowing because of the way the white fades into it. Green Eyes. Very small, ten pounds. Only a couple of years old. She's usually afraid of going outside and has been inside the hse since we found her at only a couple of months old. She ran out of the hse after some squirrels were having a fight while she was sitting at our storm door looking outside. Mother tried to open the door to scare them off and Cowli booked it past Richland Drive into the trees. We've been searching all morning but had to take a break, we're hoping she'll come back for lunch soon. She has all of her claws but she's very sweet and gentle and will not ever bite or scratch on purpose, please be soft and kind to her if you find her.

I’m sorry about your fur baby hope she comes back home to you cats are very smart and I’ve read stories where they have tracked their owners even to a different county and another state so don’t give up on her. I would go out and collar for her on a regular basis if someone picked her up if she truly loves you she will come back when she gets a chance they own you you don’t own them

I’m sorry to hear your cat is missing. I have heard great success stories when owners put out used pet bed and owner’s worn clothing. This helps set up a scent perimeter, helping the cat find the direction of home-even if they’re used to venturing outside (they can detect scent over a mile away). Many don’t come out of hiding until the wee hours of the morn so may be worth setting an alarm and setting up near an open door closest to your scent items. If you’re on an upstairs apartment, petfinders recommend you look on bottom floor nearest your scent items, as kitties don’t have a great concept of levels. They may return but only to the ground level floor. If you’re able hang flyers and check with neighbors and nearby businesses, this could really help. Your baby may have snuck into a shed, garage, or crawl space when the door was open. I had a kitty that did this once. We found her (healthy, but hungry) in a crawlspace a block away. Sending positive energy and hoping your baby makes it home safely and quickly…
