D Diane Wells Question... Why was as the cat not living with you. If the cat was in an all but empty house without human companionship and you live elsewhere, the court will likely not side with you, just saying.

Post on all your local animal groups and next-door app and keep a daily eye open at those groups. Let the pound know he is missing and keep a daily eye open at your local pound. Put some of your dirty clothing outside and something of kitty's and kitty's fur sibling outside for him to smell their way home.
