Message from Owner

This cat has never been outdoors, she is shy and timid. She has an almost silent meow. She doesn’t know how to use her claws. We are very worried about her because of the busy main road. If you see her, please let me know! We’re patrolling the area as much as possible.

Get a trap from a animal shelter put food allllll the way in back set it then put a bunch of branches on top otherwise; they won’t go in keep an eye cause you might catch other animals that you’ll release repeat above worked for us took two weeks but we got her. Prayers <3

I keep this typed out so change all the he’s to she’s. Chances are he hasn’t gone too far. Get a flashlight (good one with a good strong beam that goes far), a safety vest (get at Home Depot when u go for flashlight), small Tupperware with food and or bag of treats to crinkle. I was also armed but this is your choice. Go out at night between 12-4am whilst everyone is asleep and it’s quiet. Walk slowly around your neighborhood and call for him. Ufcse your normal non stressed voice just like you’d call him in the house, loud enough for him to hear but don’t yell. Leave pauses in between so you can hear HIM if he calls back to you he could be stuck in a back house with or garage, or come to you wuhen he hears you. Shine that light everywhere including UP in the trees, under porches and cars you will catch the reflection in his eyes if you come across him. Do this as often as you can. Also. Hang fffyour dirty laundry outside and try and put something at each corner of the property. Are there other cats outside? Do you have a trap? There’s also a chance he could come back at night whilst you are asleep so you can set a humane trap for him. If you are going to do this make sure you get clear instruction before you do. You cannot just set the trap and go to sleep. My Pooh Bear was gone for 37 days and he came home so don’t give up. FLYERS and make sure to ask people to please check their back houses and garages on the flyer. Also put up a flyer in your yard like a sign and make sure you give one to your mail carrier. DO NOT put the litter box out it will attract predators. - [ ]

Leave a door open enough for her to sneak back in and might be at nite.

Most cats stay fairly close to home when they get out so chances are high your cat is on your property or somewhere on your block, most likely three or four houses away. Search at night with a flashlight because the eyes will glow. Cats sometimes get stuck up in trees and can't get down so check there. Also check inside and under places he might be stuck or hiding such as sheds, barns, garages, crawl spaces, decks. Talk to your neighbors, put up missing cat posters up to a half a mile away, post on all local social media, and make sure to check with animal control weekly. Some people have had luck by putting something with the cat's smell, or the scent of home, out on the porch. Sometimes people also have luck finding their cat by walking around at dawn carrying an open can of tuna or smelly canned cat food.
