Lost Cat Cats do not go far especially if indoor cats. Don't wait long to search!... close to home late at night and early in the AM when it's quiet and call your kitty and listen carefully. Ask ALL neighbors to please open their sheds and garages, this is important! Make a report with the police and Animal Control. Go around and show neighbors pictures of your cat. Use social media especially lost and found Facebook site. Pawboost helps! Go to Animal Control in person frequently because they are super busy and your kitty may be overlooked. 🙏 🙏 for you and your kitty.

Havahart trap set by exit point, monitor constantly in this deadly heat and line the inside of the trap with cardboard do metal doesn’t burn him. Women’s humane Bensalem should be able to loan you a trap or buy one Lowe’s. If they aren’t already, get fixed asap to prevent escapes and many diseases.

Update: caught another overnight, so just 1 kitten still missing. All have been caught near our and our direct neighbor's yard

Ren Tyler Ren Tyler Hi, co-foster here! How did we lose the cats? The glass sliding door was open about 3 inches and the screen door was closed when we went to bed. There's no window in that room so it was cracked to give them some fresh air after cleaning. When we woke up, the screen door was also open a few inches. Aside from everything needed to find the kittens (of which 4 out of 5 have been found), we also called Green Star Exteriors to schedule a service appointment for the door. The rescue which has commented here was immediately notified and provided the same information. However, they continue to leave a post up that states there was no screen door, implying negligence on our part, despite text messages showing that's NOT what we told them. This was a very unfortunate event that we couod not have predicted. My husband has called out of work every day since it happened spending hours searching the neighborhood, checking traps, following up with neighbors, etc to get these babies back. I've fostered for 3 years and I hate seeing my name on any post that implies that something shady is going on, on both our side or the rescue's side, that caused these kittens to go missing. This was nothing more than a pure accident!

Rent or borrow a humane trap. The SPCA and other animal shelters rent them out for $100. When you return the trap you get your $100 back. Place the trap near where the cat escaped. Put some of the cat's favorite food and treats inside of the trap along with an article of your clothing with your scent on it. This method worked for me on two different occasions. If you trap the wrong cat or some other animal, put a blanket over the trap leaving the door exposed. Stand behind the trap and release the animal. Reset the trap. Time is of the essence so do this asap. Good luck and God bless.
