Message from Finder

White dog with black ears, spots, and harness is missing his family. It has taken us a week to gain his trust, but he is so sweet and just wants to be loved. We are feeding him and loving on him, but he really misses his home. We can’t have him in our home because of other pets, so he is outside with access to covered area, food , and water. Hoping this post reaches his family.

Heather Driver I’ve been told that flyers are very effective, especially for those who don’t use social media, particularly the elderly. Getting the word out in whatever way possible is the most important thing. Don’t forget to email one of the flyers to the Animal Shelters in your area in case the owner goes there searching for their pup. Thank you for all you’re doing to help this furbaby!😊🎶

Stella Piper , I don’t know yet, he only just started to let me get close enough to pet him, and I haven’t tried putting a leash on yet. He’s not neutered, so I’m doubtful that he’s chipped.

Thank you for helping this pup! Here are some tips to help you find the owner: - If there’s a neighborhood Facebook page where the dog was found, post on there right away to reach the people who live in that area. - Put up FOUND DOG flyers all around the neighborhood or area where the dog was found with his picture and your contact info. - If there are adjacent neighborhoods close to the one where the dog was found, put flyers in those areas as well, because dogs may accidentally wander from one neighborhood to another, and then don’t know how to get home. - Email a copy of your FOUND DOG flyer to Animal Control to hang in their lobby in case the owner goes there looking for their missing dog. - Take the dog to be scanned for a microchip. Any Veterinarian will do it for free, and could help to track down the owner. - If someone does come forward claiming to be the owner, please get absolute proof of ownership, as some people will claim to own dogs that are not actually theirs, sometimes for nefarious purposes, and innocent pets could end up as Bait in dog fighting rings.
